.LMPC stands for Legal Metrology Packed Commodity Registration. It is a mandatory requirement for any individual, firm, company or organization invovled in the import, manufacture or packaging of pre-packaged commodities in India.
Following are the Documents that are required to obtain the LMPC Registration
The application for the registration is made to the Controller of Legal Metrology in the State. The application is filled along with the documents and required fee after 20 days LMPC Certificate is issued.

The Legal Metrology Registration Certificate, also called LMPC certificate, is mandatory for Indian importers of pre-packaged goods.
Failure to register can lead to the goods being seized by customs.
The Government Fees for LMPC registration is ₹500 and the Professional fees for LMPC registration is ₹4,999. Once the payment is done, the registration authority will inspect the business premises before granting the LMPC certificate.
The entire process is completed within 7-10 working days
